Drop-Off Instructions:
Fill out the contact information sheet and include it with your machine and drop it off at our Minneapolis location during normal business hours. During winter months, be sure to drain your machine’s boiler to prevent further damage. See instructions below.

Shipping Instructions:
Step 1: Drain your machine
You must drain your machine’s boiler to prevent it from freezing, regardless of season. To do this, open your steam wand and engage the machine to brew with an empty water tank for a full minute or until the machine displays an error message. After one minute or the machine has prompted an error message, turn the machine off. Your machine is now ready to package. If your machine will not turn on before you ship, leave the steam wand in the open position. While this is not as safe as emptying the machine’s boiler, it will assist in preventing any further damage to the machine.

Step 2: Package and Ship
Package your machine and all of its parts in its original packaging if available. If the original packaging no longer exists, then put your machine inside a large plastic garbage bag and obtain a large, sturdy box. Put the machine in the box with at least two inches of cushion packaging around it on all sides, including underneath. You might want to repack this box inside of another to further reduce any potential shipping damages. Using a new box instead of a used one helps the rigidity of the item being shipped, and slightly over packing the box with filler (styrofoam, paper, etc.) will keep the machine from settling during shipping. When the item is packed, the contents should not move when the package is shaken. Include your contact information sheet in the box! When you ship the machine, use a carrier that offers a tracking service such as UPS or FedEx; also, insure the package for the value of the machine inside.

What to Expect:
Upon receiving your machine, a flat service fee of $37.50 will be charged to your credit card and we will email or call you to confirm that it has arrived. This fee will purchase the half hour of diagnostic time required to provide you with an accurate estimate. Within seven days, we will contact you regarding the estimate to repair your machine.

Kitchen Window’s technicians will try to fix your machine as quick as possible; however, occasionally parts need to be ordered which sometimes extends the overall repair time. We will work diligently throughout the service process to keep you informed about your espresso machine and make your experience as efficient and comfortable as possible.

After the repair is complete we will return the machine to you along with a receipt of our service.
